Setting up your store is only the first step. Once you are live, selling on MnBaladna becomes a daily routine: orders come in, stock needs updating, and payouts need to reach your account. This guide walks through exactly what that routine looks like, from registration to your first payout.

If you are still deciding whether to build your own online store, read Get a Professional Website for Your Store or Restaurant first. Every merchant gets their own webshop on any plan, which you activate and customise from your dashboard. This guide picks up from there and focuses on running your store once it is set up. Want to see what a finished store looks like? Browse our demo store, Makhzan MnBaladna. Payments in the demo store run in test mode, so it is safe to explore: no real orders are placed and no money is charged. Read more about the demo store here.

Step 1: Registration and documents

To open your store, fill in the registration form on the MnBaladna vendor sign-up page. The form has three steps:

  1. Business information: your store name and address, the zone you operate in, your approximate delivery time, your logo and cover image, and the owner's contact details.
  2. Business plan: choose between a commission-based (pay-as-you-sell) option and an annual subscription plan. See the FAQ below.
  3. Complete: submit your application.

It helps to have these details ready before you start:

  • Your business name, address and contact details.
  • Your KVK (Chamber of Commerce) number.
  • Your BTW (VAT) identification number.
  • A Dutch or European bank account (IBAN) for payouts.

Your application is reviewed before your store goes live, usually within days. Every merchant gets a branded store page, a product catalogue, order and delivery management and a POS system, and MnBaladna takes care of hosting and payments.

Step 2: Managing orders day to day

Once your store is active, everything runs through the MnBaladna Store app on Android. An iPhone app is in development; in the meantime you can manage your store in any browser through the vendor login.

  • New order notifications. You are notified as soon as a customer orders.
  • Order status. Mark orders as being prepared, ready for pickup, or handed over for delivery, by your own staff or a MnBaladna delivery driver, depending on your setup.
  • Order history. Review past orders to spot your best-selling products and busiest times.

The seller dashboard guide and how to view order details show where to find everything. For restaurants, we also have tips on handling your busiest hours.

Step 3: Keeping your stock accurate

Nothing frustrates a customer more than ordering something that turns out to be unavailable. In the Store app you can:

  • Add new products (see how to add a product).
  • Update stock levels as items sell out or get restocked.
  • Temporarily hide a product instead of deleting it, so you can bring it back later.
  • Adjust prices for promotions or seasonal changes.

Step 4: Understanding your balance and payouts

The Store app gives you a financial overview of your store:

  • Income and expenses, tracked per order.
  • Your current balance, updated as orders complete.
  • Payouts sent to the IBAN you registered.

This means you do not need a separate spreadsheet to know how your store is performing. Everything is visible from your phone, at any time.

Tips for running your store smoothly

  1. Check the app daily, even on quiet days, so you never miss an order or a low-stock alert.
  2. Update stock the moment something runs out, rather than at the end of the day.
  3. Keep your hours and delivery time accurate. Change your opening and closing hours and your estimated delivery time in the Store app whenever they change, for example on holidays or busy evenings.
  4. Use order history to plan ahead. If a product sells out every weekend, order more before Friday.
  5. Reply quickly if a customer contacts you about their order. Fast responses build trust and repeat orders.
  6. Review your balance weekly so payouts and expenses never come as a surprise.

Frequently asked questions

How long does registration review take?

Review times vary depending on how complete your application is. Having your KVK, BTW and IBAN details ready helps speed things up.

Which plan should I choose?

You choose during registration:

  • Commission-based (pay as you sell): no fixed fee. The commission varies by business type: around 10% for restaurants, 5–8% for groceries and 8–10% for retail. A good first step if you are new or unsure.
  • Annual subscription: Economy €199, Intermediate €299, Advanced €399 or Premium €599 per year, each with a free 3-month trial. The plans differ in the number of orders and products included, and the higher plans add chat features.

Compare the details on the MnBaladna price plans page, or contact our team if you are unsure which suits your store.

Can I pause my store temporarily?

Yes, you can hide individual products or set your store to closed, for example during a holiday.

How often are payouts sent?

Payouts are sent to your registered IBAN based on your store's balance. Check the Store app or contact support for the exact schedule that applies to your account.

Can I sell in more than one language?

Yes. MnBaladna works in English, Arabic, Dutch and German, and you can add your store details in each of these languages. Adding product names and descriptions in both Arabic and Dutch helps you reach more customers. Our support team also helps you in all four languages.

Should I sell through a marketplace or directly?

Both can work. Read our comparison of selling directly instead of through a big marketplace.
